Hook is located in north east Hampshire within the district of Hart. Whilst it is a large village (in 2021 census the population was 9060) it still retains its “Village” feel. It is a vibrant village with over 35 clubs and local groups. The village is well served with amenities including; a post office, two supermarkets, two petrol stations, four pubs, an infant and junior school, three churches and a number of independent shops. We also have 10 playgrounds, a floodlit skate park, tennis courts, a bowling green, a cricket ground, MUGA (Multi Use Games Area), football and rugby pitches (with changing facilities), squash courts, and two village halls We have good connections; a main trainline to London Waterloo, a direct junction (Jn 5) on to the M3 and the village lies either side of the A30. The River Whitewater running along one end of the village is very special as it is a chalk stream and is one of only 200 in the world and home to a number of rare species.
